OR gathering 8/10

Sifting through the ballots, no hanging chads have been found. The date 8/10 seems to be the clear
winner. The rough plan is as follows: Let's get together for a picnic lunch around noon at Balch Creek/
Macleay Park in Portland, OR. There are only about eight parking spaces so it could be a challenge to find
a spot. I know letterboxers are creative thinkers and there are lots of trailheads that connect to the
trails in this park. We can take a couple of hours to meet and greet as well as swapping clues for all
those new boxes that many of us intend to hide for this event. After lunch, those who want, can hit the
trails and seek out the hidden treasures. Sound OK? Any further ideas are welcome. Yahoo!!!

YEE HAW!!! So...August 10th it is for the Oregon Gathering. Man, am I
excited! Ain't no way I'm missing out on this one. I was so sorry not
to get to go to the last one in April.

I've been busy carving again. Say, Funhog...is there anywhere in that
area where a beaver might be found? I have the perfect box if there is.
Otherwise, I may plant it somewhere on one of those trails anyway. I'm
pumped. This will be a good time had by all!

Best regards,

I'm jealous of all you proliferous states who have enough boxers to have a gathering!

Any chance we have enough Michiganders for a little gathering of our own?

Bummer deal, as Beth and I will be either in Maine, New Hampshire or
Massachussetts during this timeframe. I guess we'll just have to try
and grab some boxes out that-a-way instead of meeting up with
everybody. Sorry to be missing out on this one. :o(

Funhog,

Can you provide directions to the park and/or nearby trailheads?
Also, are you going to make an event stamp?
